Don't forget to bag your shares by October 13!

Over the summer of villagers have been helping to take the Stores to the next stage by purchasing shares in a new Community Benefit Society.

The deadline for acquiring shares is fast approaching. If you would like to buy some - or claim them thanks to your original donation to the enterprise - you only have until October 13, 2024.

On June 18, 2024, the company received approval from and was registered as a Community Benefit Society (CBS) by the Financial Conduct Authority. You can read more about what a CBS is here.

Up to that date, just two members of the Management Committee had all the shares in Perranwell Community Stores, whereas now more than 100 locals legally own the company – either through purchasing shares directly or claiming them by virtue of making a £50+ donation when we commenced finance raising last summer.

This is now your last opportunity to acquire shares in PCS.  If you wish to participate, you need to visit the shop and apply for your free share and/or purchase new shares at £50 per batch, by Sunday 13/10/2024 at the very latest.​
